The DOS Historical Preservation Society started as the personal collection of the webmaster. Almost 100 programs, in their original boxes, with installation disks and manuals, will soon be indexed and included in the Exhibits section. The condition of the exhibits vary, therefore duplicate donations are welcome. Programs not currently in the DOSHPS museum will form a "want list" shortly but, for now, please consider all programs as wanted.
Of particular interest are:
- Operating systems
- MS-DOS, PC-DOS, and DOS-dependant operating systems like Windows 3.x and OS/2
- Games
- Any games!
- Applications
- WordPerfect, WordStar, Word, dBase, Lotus 1-2-3, Corel Draw!
Preserving the DOS operating system itself is particularly important.
We currently only accept physical contributions of DOS software. All contributions of floppy disks or CD-ROMs must be unaltered originals; backup and pirated copies cannot be accepted. Original boxes, manuals and other materials are greatly appreciated. Both 5.25" and 3.5" floppy disks are acceptable and archivable. To arrange a contribution, please e-mail
